I arrived in Taipei two years ago on August 8th. I will be returning to Nashville on August 8th. It will be officially two years to the day since my adventures in Taiwan began. (Did I mean to buy the tickets like that? You got me.)
What will I do when I get back to Nashville? Quick preview: seeing friends, job, GRE, grad school applications.
In the meantime, I’m just going to focus on how am I going to cram two years of stuff into two luggages that have to weigh under 23 kg each. This may be my biggest challenge yet.
wow! you are leaving taipei?? congrats and good luck w/ your new adventures away from taipei. i’ll be back by next week, we should hang out one last time before you go!
yes let’s do it, Joan!
Hi Tina,
Been following your blog and wanted to ask you how you got started in Taiwan… did you send your resume online or did you get there and start looking for jobs? I’m also Taiwanese American and am having trouble convincing companies that I won’t speak Chinese with the students. Any advice you have would be great. Thanks so much!
P.S. great haircut!
I got my job through asianconsultants.com. An agent, Julie, through them found me schools that I went and interviewed with, and then I picked the school that I wanted. I suggest you contact them and see if they can help you out. They were really helpful with me!
